CHILD MEADOW “RAD” 7inch

Finaly !!! Expecations, delays, reality, mistakes, misunderstading … Seems it’s always the same things when I’m related with the band and releasing the record … Always the same problems and delays… ! I’m the problem !

The 7″ is finaly out, with a great artwork of Hugues, and a perfect silkscreaning from Romain from Perlocation in nancy, France.
The 7″ contains 4 songs, I play guitar and sings in this band so hard to describe it. Romain was saying on his blog that it was a mix between Assfactor 4 and Gainsville punk rock bands. Quite a decent description I should say.

Coming up soon, the full lengh LP of l’Oiseau mort, the new Child Meadow full lengh LP (promise this time it will be faster), and some more projects in the works, as always!

Also Child Meadow will be going on tour with Big kids from oakland, California, come and say hi if we play near your house.

FAREWELL – S/T 12″ OUT NOW // More coming up soon!!!

Good news ! Back from work, and I just got the FAREWELL LP’S on my mailbox! I got few copies of this new releases so be fast if you want a copy. The record is a beautifull “greyish” LP, with nice labels, a silkscreaned cover, a booklet with the lyrics in 3 different languages (French, English and German), few text from the people involved in the release, and a CD-r with all the LP’s songs on it. Musicaly speaking, Farewell is a 4 piece band from North East of France, on this record you’ll find 10 fast songs of pissed french hardcore for less than 20 minutes of music in total. Lyrics are screamed in french, simple and talks about different things as: music, animal rights, self questionning, mass consummation but in a very personnal way! Anyway, check out this record, it’s worth it !

The covers of the CHILD MEADOW 7″ are ready. Hopefully I will get them next week. Concerning the pressing plant for the 7″, the pressing plant told me they should send them to me next week. Let’s cross our fingers.

Concerning the L’OISEAU MORT new 12″ a lots of labels and friends are involved, and this record should come out in end of November / begining of December. Knowing the boys, I’m more than sure that the record is going to be amazing, musicaly, lyric’aly’ and artwork’ly’ !!!

Long time no see !

So here it is, after more than a year and a half, the split bökanövsky / lakmé is available !!! Piou !!! That was hard. I would like to thanks specially Mélo, Sylvain, for showing me how silkscreaning worked, but for sure, to save us our asses on this, and to be just perfect and awesome friends !!!! Sophie the girl who helped me photocopying 14 pages in less than a day, staple and fold the booklet. And of course hugues for doing a great job in the artwork. Without those people, we could have wait for more delays, and shitty problems.

Sorry again for all those delays, but I think i’ve never had such problems to release a record in 4/5 years of helping friends in releasing records. But it looks realy cool, sweat and smart, I hope you’ll like it to!

The split has a theme it’s “psychatry/mental illness”, the 2 bands talks about his in the songs, and in the booklet with personnal texts, interviews etc… Even labels mates did some awesome writings, like Manuel, Sylvain ! Check it out, it’s 4 euros hand by hand, but you get a nice colored cover, a nice black vinyl, with a big booklet with tons of things to read !

“what do we want? FUN !!!”

Hey everyone. Yes this is real, you are not dreaming, i’m making a small update ! Looks like that it means a lot for 2010: more update and maybe the label will be able to live a bit more. To much things in 2009, did a lot of music, went to mexico and the states with my buddies and played and laughs during 20 days, worked so much to get some money, lost so much money in strings, records and my weakness “guitars and pedals”… I’m laughing on tuning cars guy, but I guess i’m just like them but … with a guitar !!!

I have a lot of projects in helping friends and bands i’ve discovered. Here what I can tell you for the moment:e

- I’ll be helping releasing the first full lengh LP of an awesome band from est of france, they are from Erstein just near Germany. Think something between raging bands like Look back and laugh, mixed with french hardcore, how fun does that sound huh? I’m pretty exited !

- And for sure the Bokanovsky / Lakme is almost ready, expect the record in about 1/2 weeks maximum, and you’ll be able to order it trought the different labels involved. The covers looks realy fun, I silkscreaned them with the precious help of 2 amazing friends: Sylvain & Melo in Grenoble under the Alpes at the 102 silkscrean workshop. Melo is more than passionated with silkscreaning, and I totaly believe that she has a “talent” in teaching, so if you need any help contact her for sure (well contact me and i’ll give you her email and stuff).

- I have plenty of others project, but I don’t have any dates in the “release” date. I’ll keep you posted with that.
I’ll be releasing the new LP of a Seattle band named: Degania, talking about doing something with an amzing band and people from Oakland: Spires, had to do a Euro version of Maladie full lengh, it won’t be realised, but i’ll release a split or something, i will also do something with my new band child meadow, a 7″ or a split, will see !!!
